Job Description

The Sales Support Specialist is an inside sales/analytics role responsible supporting the Climate Solutions Sales team to strengthen customer relationships and maximizing sales. Daily tasks include providing internal support for sales management, customer support, back-office support, project management, tool support, assigned projects and data analytics.  

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Act as Acct Manager for a list of no-call Customer accounts to support outside sales.
  • Respond to customers regarding pricing, product info, issues, and address in a timely.
  • Assist KAMs or directly project manage customer opportunities in CRM.  This includes CRS/SCR/One-pagers (tracking, accuracy, chasing details, priorities, one-stop contact), preparation for complex customer RFQ’s, and meeting participation.
  • Internal liaison to CSC/Warehouse: order and sample expediting/price issues/PO handling/etc. and facilitate product shipments as needed if supply challenges occur.
  • Analyze data: support team with sales insights, pricing, reporting and data analysis.
  • Forecast: collect & submit key customer forecast vs. demand to keep product flowing.
  • Customer Creation: create new customers and update existing in SAP.
  • Code Creation: create requests for code extensions.
  • Samples: coordinate test sample orders/tracking.
  • Product Allocation: manage projects as needed.
  • Price Tool: train sales, update contacts and address questions related to tool use.
  • Support review/revision of inventory levels, safety stock, ROP, Customer segmentation / differentiated list, OSMI, SMI on a regular basis (Fulfillment owns, you support review/revision as needed).
  • Inside sales follow up in response to lead generation in coordination with MarCom.
  • Operate in a heavily matrixed environment, which requires developing global relationships with multiple stakeholders and providing support where needed.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of company products and special projects.

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or finance.
  • 5+ years of diverse (OEM, wholesale, end-user) industry related experience in sales or supporting sales function.
  • Working knowledge of sales concepts, methods, and techniques.
  • Good organizational skills have ability to multitask and handle conflicts in the business.
  • CRM, MS Office Suite, SAP, and Salesforce experience.
  • Experience with formulas, pivot tables, manipulating large data sets and package insights into plans.
  • Power Pivot, Power Bi and Tableau (not required, but a plus).
  • Professional, tenacious, and strong, convincing communication skills.
  • Creative thinker and should possess ability to resolve critical problems.
  • Work in a team environment and take ownership over role’s progression.
