The Impact You'll Make
As our Deputy Manager – Application Support, you'll be the technical expert customers turn to across South India — helping them design, optimise and troubleshoot HVAC/R systems that use energy smarter.
Your impact? Customers build systems that perform better and consume less energy; our products get stronger because you carry real field insight back into Danfoss; and our sales team wins on technical credibility, not discounts.
You'll collaborate with customers, OEM engineering teams, consultants and our internal product, quality and sales teams, and take ownership of application development, technical problem-solving and customer training — helping us move toward a more sustainable future.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide deep application engineering support across HVAC/R — system building, chillers, heat pumps, air dryers and liquid cooling CDUs — for customers across South India
- Work alongside customers to develop new applications, from design intent and product selection through to a working, validated system
- Partner with Danfoss product management, R&D, quality and factory teams to drive product quality improvements and resolve customer technical concerns at root cause
- Support the sales team in business development through joint customer visits, technical presentations and application-led opportunity conversion
- Represent Danfoss at industry seminars and conduct technical trainings for customers, consultants, OEM engineers and internal colleagues
What We're Looking For
- 8–15 years of experience in HVAC/R application engineering or technical support, with a B.E. or M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Deep understanding of HVAC/R across a range of applications, with hands-on knowledge of system building, chillers, heat pumps, air dryers and liquid cooling CDUs
- A proven ability to work directly with customers on new application development and to solve real system-level problems in the field
- Experience driving product quality improvements and closing out customer technical concerns with internal engineering, quality and factory teams
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English (a regional South Indian language is an advantage), confident conducting trainings and speaking at seminars, and willing to travel extensively across the territory
What You'll Get from Us
- We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
- You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
- We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
- You’ll receive benefits like 13th salary, annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance, and more. These vary by country and contract, but they’re worth asking about—we think they’re pretty great.
