What You’ll Be Doing
- You will be responsible for IP-related topics for several business units and some other tasks assigned if needed, mainly dedicated to IP Protection, IP Portfolio Management, Freedom-to-Operate, IP Enforcement, Patent Landscaping, IP Agreement drafting/review, and some other IP-related topics. Your role will be as a business partner from IP perspective, unlocking the power of IP for your areas of responsiblity.
- In this position, patents are one of the key Intellectual Property Rights in daily tasks. Dealing with patents requires an eye for details but also being able to create an overview and see the bigger picture. One of your main responsibilities will be to identify new inventions and protect them by appropriate Intellectual Property Rights such as patents or trade secrets.
- Furthermore, you will make sure that Danfoss is not violating Intellectual property rights of other companies. Advising business units and being in dialogue with international patent agents, especially from Germany, US and China, will also be part of your daily tasks.
What We're Looking For
- To be considered for this position, you need to like and utilize the combination between technology, language, law and business mindset.
- We are looking for you to have a Master in Engineering (Mechanical) or Physics, and you need to have at least 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably working as a patent attorney plus working in multicultural teams.
- Experience with Danfoss product or technology areas would be an advantage but is not mandatory.
- Being a China Patent Attorney is a must and having a China Lawyer's Qualification is a plus.
- Strong oral and written English skills are mandatory.
- Some travel activity should be expected.
- As a person you need to be detail-oriented, analytical, structured, curious, proactive, thorough, self-driven, collaborative, able to keep deadlines, and have a passion for reading and writing technical documentation.
