Danfoss is looking for a CNC Machinist Lathe/Mill to fill a wide variety of assignments. This is a 1st Shift position, working Monday through Friday from 6:45 am to 3:15 pm.  

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to perform machining operations (turning, boring, threading, facing, etc.) on cast iron, stainless steel, brass, bronze, carbon steel, plastic, Teflon, and other materials.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, tooling instructions, and machining specifications, including dimensions, tolerances, feed rates, cutting speeds, depths of cut, and tool selection.
  • Position and secure tooling and workpieces using appropriate methods (chucks, centers, face plates, clamps, arbors, or custom jaws) to meet job requirements.
  • Adjust machine controls to establish cutting speeds, feed rates, and tool positioning; operate equipment in accordance with established machining procedures.
  • Inspect machined parts to specifications and tolerances as close as ±.001 using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and other precision measuring instruments; obtain first-piece inspection approval.
  • Maintain clean, lubricated equipment and an orderly work area; follow all safety policies, report unsafe conditions, and perform other assigned duties.
 
 

What We're Looking For

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Must be able to read and interpret complex blueprints 

  • Must be competent in the use of calipers, micrometers, verniers, indicators and various other measuring instruments. 

  • Must have the equivalent of 1 or more years of experience in set up and operation of CNC mills and/or lathes. 

  • Responsible for verification adherence to all applicable quality standards. 

  • Welding experience is preferred, but not required.
