Job Description
Danfoss Hydraulics Division is currently seeking a CNC Operator to join our team. This position is based at our Jackson, Michigan facility and is located on 2nd shift. This position also offers a $3,000 sign on bonus which will pay $1,000 shortly after hire, $1,000 at 6 months and $1,000 at one year.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate horizontal saw, cutting, chamfer, and threading machines.
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform a wide range of boring, mill and drilling operations on a wide variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metals such as steel, cast iron, brass, bronze, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.
- Work from simple drawings, routings, charts and instructions to select proper speed, feed, die head, and holders to conform to specified thread requirements.
- Keep up with the maintenance of your area by removing and replacing defective tools and by maintaining proper oil and grease levels on the machine.
- Detect defective materials and to perform other duties as assigned.
Background & Skills
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 1 year of CNC lathe or CNC mill experience. Completion of a CNC certificate program may be substituted for experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in the set-up of CNC lathes or CNC mills is preferred.
Position Criteria:
- Ability to read and use blueprints.
- Abilities in the use of micrometers, calipers, and various other measuring instruments.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Jackson, Michigan will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
