Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Plan & perform a variety of inspection operations, including final audit, first piece, and in-process inspection, in any or all stages of the manufacturing process, including the receiving of raw materials, verification of material certifications and special processes, purchased finished parts per established Q.C. standards.  Set gages as required.

Perform various duties related to the receiving and shipping of raw material, work in process, or purchased parts to and from outside vendors or plants. Work involves loading and unloading trucks, processing related paperwork, verifying that material certifications are correct, inspection of raw materials received, staging work orders for production, maintaining various logs, and review various reports.

Background & Skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have previous experience inspecting parts making sure they are to spec.
  • Must be able to use basic math, read and interpret complicated blueprints.
  • Must be able to use micrometers, verniers, squares and other misc. inspection equipment.
  • Fork truck experience of One (1) year or more (Sit down, Stand up, Enclosed)
  • Must have experience with computer systems.
  • Must be comfortable using 10 ton overhead crane to unload/load as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in inspecting cylinder parts
