Job Description

Procurement manager will be responsible to develop new suppliers and to drive cost out projects with cross functional teams including R&D, plant operations, and purchasing as well as Danfoss procurement group. The efforts will contribute the growth for Excavator business in Korea and also expend to Danfoss business growth globally.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Set and meet goals for cascaded business target.
  • Establish and maintain a good contact within global procurement team, internal team, and external suppliers.
  • Review of monthly/yearly KPI’s for cost saving and supplier related
  • New supplier development
  • Lead supplier / service provider contract management.
  • Develop to win ongoing supplier negotiation.
  • RFI-RFQ of new products with fresh eyes
  • Direct/Indirect bidding and selection
  • Evaluate supplier performance monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Lead site supplier assessment for new/potential suppliers.
  • Plan, spend and track CAPEX to meet the monthly and yearly target
  • Develop and maintain action plan with an aggressive timeline upon business needs and related customer value propositions
  • Prepare & conduct well organized presentations as well as developing the materials for internal or global uses

Background & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Prior procurement experience working at similar business model or with suppliers in heavy industry market (minimum 5 years+)
  • Sourcing experience in vehicle or heavy industrial device products
  • Basic knowledge of excavator products or mechanical products
  • Strong internal/external relationship skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong personal resilience, highly motivated player.
  • Performance driven - not afraid to suggest/take initiatives and work independently
  • Ability to work with international teams in a global matrix organization
  • Cooperative and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English
  • CPM/CSCP/CPSM is Prefered
