The Impact You'll Make

As a Technical Support Engineer at Danfoss, you will be at the frontline of supporting customers’ AC drive systems, ensuring smooth operation and maximizing system value.
Your technical expertise will directly impact customer satisfaction by solving complex issues, delivering optimized solutions, and empowering our clients with training and hands-on support.
You will play a vital role in maintaining Danfoss’s reputation for reliable service, technical leadership, and customer-focused innovation in the Korean market.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair frequency converters (AC drives) on-site as required.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and implement field modifications for customer equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely service logs and internal records.
  • Provide application support—including commissioning, optimization, and troubleshooting—for demanding AC drive applications.
  • Collaborate with the local team to ensure efficient service delivery across Korea.
  • Consult with customers to optimize drive systems using Danfoss solutions.
  • Review RFQs, select and size the right product based on tender specs.
  • Develop competitive technical solutions and value propositions.
  • Prepare technical offers, data sheets, and required customer documents; sign off proposals with customers.
  • Liaise with product management for non-standard requirements and custom solutions.
  • Coordinate with sales, engineering, procurement, and customers to secure project orders.
  • Train sales engineers on applications and solution capabilities to drive customer engagement.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant technical experience (AC drives, power, automation, or marine sector preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of generators, drives, motors, transformers, cabling, and system engineering.
  • Experience in pre-sales or project sales in the marine or drive systems industry.
  • Project management skills and experience working in cross-functional, matrix organizations.
  • High energy, collaborative mindset, and ability to build trust with stakeholders across cultures.
  • Strong communication skills in Korean and English.
