Are you ready to help shape the future of servo and motion technology in Germany? Join our team as a Business Development Manager (m/f/d) Motion and take on a leading role in expanding our servo and motion business with OEM customers in key industrial segments. Your technical expertise and proactive sales approach will position Danfoss as the first choice for high-performance servo/motion solutions.
The position is based in Germany (Home Office) and requires a high degree of willingness to travel within the DACH region.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing and implementing annual business development plans for relevant industry segments in the DACH region (focus on Germany)
- Establishing and expanding solid relationships with OEMs to position Danfoss as a preferred or strategic supplier
- Identifying, acquiring, and winning new customers, as well as supporting regional sales in expanding existing accounts
- Providing technical advice on servo drives and topics related to motion and drive integration in automation systems
- Analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitors to derive value-oriented sales strategies
- Creating and presenting customized value propositions, technical recommendations, and offers
- Actively participating in marketing and sales activities (e.g., trade shows, customer events, surveys) to strengthen market presence
- Collection, preparation, and dissemination of market information, forecasts, and customer developments to your manager
- Close cooperation within the sales organization and active support of knowledge exchange and best practice initiatives
- Maintenance of accurate customer and opportunity data in CRM, creation of account plans, and continuous improvement of data quality
What We're Looking For
- Technical education (degree or vocational training) in electrical engineering, automation technology, drive technology, or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in technical sales, ideally in the field of drive technology, motion control, or mechanical engineering OEMs
- In-depth knowledge of servo systems and motion applications; knowledge of safety, cyber security, or automation systems is an advantage
- Strong hunter mentality with excellent communication and relationship-building skills and the ability to close deals
- Independent, structured, and proactive approach to work
- Willingness to travel extensively within the DACH region (approx. 60–80%)
- Very good written and spoken German and good written and spoken English
