As Category Manager for the electromechanical & mechanical category, you will play a key role in shaping the global supplier strategy within Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives. You will set strategic directions, build strong and resilient supplier partnerships, and ensure a cost‑competitive, high‑performing, and sustainable supply base.


Your work will directly support Danfoss’ growth ambitions and our commitment to ESG and emission abatement. Through high‑profile negotiations, supplier development, and robust supply chain design, your impact will be felt across the business globally.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop, align, and implement global category strategies across Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives
  • Lead supplier strategy, governance, and performance management across all sites, including ESG and emission abatement
  • Plan and execute high‑profile negotiations with high‑spend and strategically critical suppliers
  • Build robust, resilient, and cost‑competitive supply chains in close collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Drive sustainable cost reductions and innovation through cross‑functional teams and a structured savings pipeline
  • Monitor market, commodity, and technology trends to proactively adapt category strategies and identify future opportunities

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in category management, ideally within electromechanical, mechanical, or related areas
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, business, or a relevant commercial discipline
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build long‑term supplier partnerships
  • Strategic, proactive mindset with a continuous focus on category development and value creation
  • Experience working independently while thriving in cross‑functional, global environments
  • A self‑driven, positive attitude with high ownership, commitment, and focus on delivering results
