Danfoss is looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. You will be expected to excel in a fast pace, growing company and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement.  You will need to have outstanding interpersonal communication skills to deal with customers, co-workers and suppliers. This position is located in Caxias do Sul/Rio Grande do Sul/Brazil.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead supplier development projects to drive key suppliers to targeted quality performance levels.
  • Train supplier to achieve system level root cause and to implement long term corrective actions to eliminate reoccurrence of quality rejects.
  • Ensure supplier quality and performance data is available and accurate at all times for suppliers in their category.
  • Ensure supplier is fully trained and capable of meeting Danfoss change management expectations.  This includes notifying Danfoss of changes and completing all aspects of the PPAP.
  • Maintain an expert level understanding of the global standards, tools, and templates and tie them to Danfoss expectations.
  • Provide input and feedback to improve the effectiveness of the tools and processes
  • Verify the supplier improvement plans are targeted to meet or exceed Danfoss expectations and that they are implemented to the agreed timelines.
  • Ensure supplier representatives and management are fully engaged and taking ownership of problems and solutions.
  • Identify gaps where execution does not meet expectations and train people to enable action plans to close the gaps

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • Bachelor´s degree in Engineering.
  • Preferred experience in following quality tools: PPAP, MSA, calibration, Control Plans, PFMEA, and detailed manufacturing work instructions.
  • Previous quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment required with preferred experience with IATF 16949:2016.
  • Required experience in using problem solving skills such as 8D’s, 5 why’s, fishbone diagrams
  • Proficient at Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in English Language
