Job Responsibilities

 

  • Provide leadership for continuous improvement studies and mentor about continuous improvement activities,
  • Increase the competency of line leaders, supervisors, and blue-collar workers in using lean tools to close the gaps in the DBS strategy,
  • Spread the continuous improvement culture in the departments by leading the Kaizen process,
  • Share the benchmark applications performed in the department with other department managers/supervisors, identifying workload, efficiency, set-up reduction, material usage, and quality improvement opportunities in production areas,
  • Determine annual improvement projects with lean production techniques by conducting annual Value Stream mapping,
  • Support the determination of large-scale or long-term improvement projects and create a solid project plan to solve them using Six Sigma/lean methodologies,
  • Establish audit activities such as Gemba and 5S within the department and developing technical solution proposals for controlling processes,

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution, advanced engineering degree, or MBA preferred,
  • At least 3 years of  experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Lean and/or Continuous Improvement,
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, experience with manufacturing processes, creative/innovative thinking,
  • Prior experience leading and/or implementing lean methods in a manufacturing/engineering environment (i.e. Kaizen),
  • Preferably experience with Six Sigma problem-solving tool,
  • Hands on experience in project management and driving change in shopfloor environments, with proven record of developing and executing successful projects,
  • Fluent in Turkish and English.
