The Impact You'll Make
As an Application Engineer, you will enhance the application capability of Danfoss Turbocor oil‑free centrifugal compressors, working closely with OEM customers across Europe and beyond. Your role will directly contribute to accelerating the electrification of heating and refrigeration, helping customers adopt highly efficient, sustainable compressor solutions.
You will act as a technical liaison between customers and Danfoss internal teams, ensuring that compressor integrations, system designs, and performance qualifications meet or exceed customer expectations. This role allows you to influence both product performance and customer success across global markets.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support OEMs in integrating oil‑free centrifugal compressors into their systems; manage performance validation and documentation for new applications.
- Work with customers to understand their technical needs and develop tailored application solutions using Danfoss technologies.
- Provide advanced engineering support for product applications, system troubleshooting, and technical proposals. Assist with submittals and compliance documentation.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for OEM customers, building strong long‑term partnerships.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as manuals, bulletins, application notes, and training materials.
- Lead training sessions for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Lead application‑related projects from early concept through deployment.
- Collaborate with Product Management to analyze market trends and customer feedback.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering; specialization in Thermodynamics is an asset.
- Proven experience in application engineering, technical support, or engineering development.
- Experience in HVAC&R design or service.
- Strong Knowledge of Modbus, RS232, RS485, CAN bus.
- Proven multicultural communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem‑solving and written/oral communication attitude.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering tools.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approx. 35%, up to 50% during peak periods).
- Fluent in English.
