The Impact You'll Make
Danfoss is proud to be at the forefront of driving a global transformation in digital and electric solutions that increase productivity and energy efficiency. We are truly passionate about investment, and innovation, as we continue to support our customers' journey towards a greener and lower-carbon future.
Our Digital Displacement team specialises in the design, development and testing of our innovative Digital Displacement technology, a relatively new type of hydraulic fluid power technology that is re-shaping the way people think about hydraulic system efficiency. Whether it’s industrial or off-highway applications, Digital Displacement® Pumps provide savings of up to 50% energy use in many cases. Backed by a team of highly talented engineers, we foster innovation, growth, and technical excellence.
We now have an opportunity for a collaborative and strategic Business Development Manager, Digitial Displacement, to play a leading role in the ongoing growth and development of our footprint in the energy-efficiency sector. This position will give you the opportunity to play a leading role in shaping our market presence, building lasting partnerships with industry leaders, and help to define the future of our product road map to meet the global demand for sustainable machinery.
What You’ll Be Doing
As our new Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Cultivating Strategic Partnerships
- Relationship-Driven Growth: Build and nurture deep, trust-based relationships with OEMs and industrial fleet operators.
- Consultative Problem Solving: Work alongside clients to understand their operational pain points and co-create solutions that deliver both financial and environmental ROI.
- Inclusive Networking: Represent the company at industry forums, contributing to the conversation on decarbonization and heavy-industry innovation.
2. Strategic Vision & Product Evolution
- Market Intelligence: Synthesize field insights to help our engineering team prioritize features that solve real-world problems.
- Holistic Strategy: Develop market entry plans that consider the entire ecosystem, including regulatory shifts, sustainability benchmarks, and partnership opportunities.
3. Technical Advocacy
- Clear Communication: Translate complex technical data into compelling stories of efficiency and progress for diverse stakeholders, from site managers to executive boards.
- Pilot Program Mentorship: Lead cross-functional teams to ensure trial phases are executed smoothly and data is communicated transparently.
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, we'd expect you to demonstrate:
• Sector Experience: A background in industrial technology, renewables, automotive, or a related field where you have managed complex, high-stakes projects.
• Collaborative Mindset: A proven ability to influence others through expertise and rapport rather than authority alone.
• Analytical Clarity: You enjoy diving into the data to build a business case but never lose sight of the human element in a deal.
• Education & Growth: A degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, supplemented by a lifelong-learner mentality.
We believe that solving the world’s energy challenges requires diverse perspectives. You will join a culture that values empathy, analytical rigor, and long-term relationship building over short-term wins. We offer a flexible working environment and are committed to supporting the professional growth of leaders who want to make a tangible environmental impact.
What You'll Get from Us
• We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
• You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
• We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
• You’ll receive benefits like annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance, and more. These vary by country and contract, but they’re worth asking about—we think they’re pretty great.
