As a Software Engineer, you will play a central role in developing the embedded software that powers our iC7‑Automation drives, ensuring high performance, reliability, and clear customer value. As part of a skilled development team, you will take end‑to‑end ownership of embedded software and contribute directly to premium drive solutions for customers in the food & beverage sector.
You will keep up with the latest AI‑assisted software development tools and apply them to improve workflows, code quality, and team learning. Your work will ensure our products meet customer requirements, quality standards, and delivery commitments while evolving with new technologies and industry trends.
This is a Maternity Cover position.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, develop, and maintain real‑time embedded software and firmware for advanced drive applications
- Define product requirements, create and maintain technical documentation, and ensure alignment across the product team
- Develop, describe, and support testing (unit, module, and system tests) to ensure high quality in all deliveries
- Debug and troubleshoot software at application and hardware/software levels, including customer support when needed
- Collaborate closely with product, test, and external stakeholders to ensure a premium, high‑quality end‑to‑end product and drive continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in developing real‑time embedded software
- Strong programming experience with C++
- Preferably experience with Python and MathWorks MATLAB/Simulink
- Practical and AI‑savvy
- A strong performance‑driven mindset and motivation to be part of a winning team
- Passion for solving complex technical problems in close collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders
- A team‑oriented approach, thriving in an environment that values collaboration and continuous learning
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English, both written and spoken
