As our Engineer, you’ll play a key role as part of the Specialty BU within the DIIC R&D and Engineering organization, Fluid Conveyance group at Danfoss Power Solutions. Based in Magarpatta, India, this role reports to the Specialty BU Engineering Manager.
Your impact?
You will design and develop Fluid Conveyance products that meet customer-specific technical, cost, and market-related technology requirements for Quick Disconnect Coupling products used in Data Center market platforms and applications.
You’ll collaborate with the DIIC R&D and Engineering organization within the Fluid Conveyance group and take ownership of designing and developing customer-specific Quick Disconnect Coupling solutions, helping us move toward a more focused and market-aligned future
What You’ll Be Doing

Lead multiple small product development projects and contribute to larger product development programs to deliver compliant and innovative Fluid Conveyance solutions.

Support internal departments, suppliers, and customers by providing technical support, supporting prototype development, testing solutions, and ensuring products meet or exceed customer requirements.

Collaborate with customers, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders by maintaining effective verbal and written communication throughout product development and introduction.

Use computer-assisted engineering and design software, prediction models, and Six Sigma/DFSS tools (PDSC, P-Diagram, DFMEA, Risk Management, DVPR) to improve product performance, quality, and design predictability while ensuring designs meet Danfoss and customer standards.

Continuously learn, apply innovative product concepts, protect IP through patents or trade secrets, and share knowledge to support continuous improvement and organizational objectives.
What We're Looking For
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred) with 6–7 years of experience in the hydraulic fluid conveyance domain, including hands-on product testing and validation. Experience on thermal management solutions and testing would be an added advantage.

Proven knowledge of DFSS tools such as FMEA, DVPR, PDSC, along with hose and fitting failure investigation, root cause analysis, and 8D critical thinking.

Strong understanding of engineering standards (EN/SAE/ISO), GD&T, stack-up analysis, and engineering checklists to support robust product design.

Experience with PLM systems and engineering change management processes, including execution of changes through Teamcenter.

Demonstrated decision quality, problem-solving, multitasking, and continuous improvement mindset, with effective written and oral communication skills to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
