The role supports and gradually leads product design and development activities, contributing to engineering changes and continuous improvement in product cost, reliability, and performance. It involves close collaboration with manufacturing and field teams while learning and adhering to design and quality processes. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in mechanical design, hands-on experience with PTC Creo, and exposure to sheet metal and copper tube–based assemblies, along with a willingness to learn, innovate, and grow.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support engineering teams in design and development of new and existing products.
- Lead and execute projects in line with the Product Development Process (PDP), including DFMEA, risk assessment, Design for manufacturing/service, CAD modelling, and drawing release.
- Develop and evaluate design concepts, perform detailed design and engineering calculations.
- Create and manage 3D models, assemblies, and technical documentation in Creo and Windchill.
- Work with PDM/PLM systems integrated with SAP for documentation and change control.
- Design components considering manufacturability, especially for sheet metal and copper tube fabrication (bending, punching, welding, forming).
- Support prototype build, verification, and validation activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Service.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with 6+ years of experience in product development preferably in refrigeration domain.
- Experience working in structured development processes (PDP, Stage-Gate, or similar) is a plus
- Strong communicator with ability to work in cross-functional and global teams
- Pro E Creo – Proficient, Windchill PDM – Proficient, SAP Application (Documentation/Change control) – Proficient, PLM – Basic, AutoCAD – Basic
