Our Mechatronics team drives innovation by combining aerodynamics, magnetic bearings, and power electronics into an integrated compressor platform. This role bridges the gap between design engineering and operational excellence, ensuring engineering workflows are optimized and compliance databases are maintained with the highest integrity.

 

The Design Quality Engineer will report to the Director of Mechatronics and play a critical role in enabling engineering teams to focus on innovation by streamlining processes, developing productivity tools, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.  Success in this role will be measured by workflow optimizationdata accuracy, and regulatory compliance readiness.

What You’ll Be Doing

Key Responsibilities

Process Documentation & Control

  • Author and maintain comprehensive R&D process control documentation.
  • Ensure all mechatronics design processes are clearly defined, audited, and aligned with company‑wide quality management standards.

Engineering Effectiveness Tools

  • Develop and deploy digital tools to improve design engineer productivity.
  • Create standardized report templates and optimize workflows within CAD and PLM environments.

Product Compliance & UL Databases

  • Lead the development and maintenance of compliance databases.
  • Ensure all components and materials meet UL, CE, and other safety/regulatory standards through accurate data tracking.

SAP Master Data Management

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP master data creation and management.
  • Ensure accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOM) and technical data entry in ERP systems.

R&D Operational Excellence

  • Identify opportunities to reduce administrative overhead for engineering teams.
  • Streamline data entry and documentation requirements without compromising quality.

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor mechatronics design workflows for bottlenecks.
  • Implement software or process solutions to improve speed‑to‑market.

What We're Looking For

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in product lifecycle development.
  • Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP master data management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English for technical documentation and cross‑functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
  • Experience in a mechatronics or electromechanical manufacturing environment.
  • Regulatory compliance experience (UL, CE standards, material documentation).
  • Proficiency in workflow automation software or engineering tool template development.
  • Experience working in a multinational company with global engineering teams.
