The Impact You'll Make
As our Field Service Engineer, you'll deliver services across the entire Danfoss Drives portfolio — testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing drives in the diverse marine systems and applications our customers depend on. When a vessel's systems are on the line, you're who keeps them running.
This role matters now because Danfoss is rapidly scaling its service capability across the Asia-Pacific region (APR) — and field engineers who deliver are exactly how we differentiate from the competition. You're not filling a seat; you're building the regional service edge.
It's also a launchpad: strong performers here grow into senior field service, technical specialist, and service-channel development tracks as the APR business expands.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Plan and prioritize project services (testing, commissioning, sea trials) and ad-hoc services (technical support, troubleshooting, repair) to keep delivery on time and on spec.
- Coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive each service to a successful, documented outcome.
- Stay responsive for customers, ready to provide 24/7 remote technical support when operations demand it.
- Build and sustain customer relationships that turn one-off jobs into repeat and referral business.
- Continuously sharpen your technical know-how by tracking new technologies, products, and features as the field evolves.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or polytechnic graduate in electrical, mechatronics, or automation engineering.
- 3+ years of relevant experience, ideally with knowledge of marine equipment, systems, and terminology, plus technical understanding of drive products and applications.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability and willingness to travel across the APR region for long-term assignments (>50%), building trust across countries and cultures.
- Good verbal and written communication in English.
What You'll Get from Us
- We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
- You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
- We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
- You’ll receive a total rewards package that may include a range of benefits, depending on your location and contract type. These vary by country and contract, but they’re worth asking about—we think they’re pretty great.
