The Impact You'll Make

Danfoss Power Solutions is Hiring! As a Functional Safety Specialist based in Nordborg, you’ll make sure our development projects follow the safety requirements of IEC 61508 and ISO 26262.

 

You’ll create and manage key safety work products—from Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments to Safety Concepts and SIL/ASIL assignments. You’ll support software and hardware teams, lead safety reviews, and guide projects through assessments and audits. Your work will shape safer designs, improve processes, and help grow our functional safety culture across global teams. 

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Bringing Functional Safety into development projects and guiding teams through requirements
  • Managing safety requirements and documentation in our requirement management systems
  • Working with third party safety components and aligning with related cyber security needs
  • Creating safety work products such as Hazard Analyses, Risk Assessments, Safety Concepts, and SIL/ASIL assignments
  • Leading safety analyses like FMEDAs and SFMEAs and supporting verification and validation activities

What We're Looking For

 

  • An educational background in software engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar field
  • Experience with functional safety standards such as IEC 61508, ISO 26262, or ISO 13849 as well as the ability to bridge functional safety terminology between different standards
  • Ability to interpret safety related requirements, documentation, and engineering content
  • Experience with requirements management or PLM tools such as Polarion or Teamcenter
  • Fluency in English. a collaborative, organized way of working and an interest in improving processes across teams
