The Impact You'll Make
The General Manager, China, serves as the strategic leader responsible for driving sustainable and profitable growth for our entire China business. The prupose of this role is to translate the global strategy into local needs and success. That includes full P&L responsibility, legal ownership, strategic planning, and ensuring operational excellence across all functions, with a strong emphasis on operations and supply chain. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with a proven track record of driving growth, efficiency, and profitability within the dynamic Chinese business environment. He/she will also serve as the primary representative of the company to local governmental and other authorities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide overall leadership and management of company operations in China
- Lead all operational functions incl. R&D, sales, supply chain and operations, purchasing, product management and quality, esnuring quality, efficiency and on time delivery in alignment with global SDI targets
- Enabling and transforming the global sales & business development strategy into China, in close alignment with the international sales teams
- Develope a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and high performance
- Hold full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for the region, ensuring the achievement of KPIs
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with local regulations
- Assume legal responsibility for the China entity, incl. representation to local authoritites
- Lead strategic planning and execution for the regional business
- Drive operational excellence across the organization
- Act as a hands-on leader to drive growth, efficiency, and profitability
- Navigate and succeed in the dynamic Chinese business environment
What We're Looking For
- Master degree, with more than 10 years relevant work experience;
- Industry or Automotive background, close the power electronics or end market applications, like drives (Danfoss drives), heating/cooling, wind, solar;
- Solid people leadership experience, foundation built with key people across the team, building up local compentences across all functions;
- Fluent English is required.
