The Impact You'll Make
Site Operations Leader is responsible for setting operational direction for the Brazil Condensing Unit manufacturing site in Danfoss, who will manage the operation for Condensing Units production and other vertically integrated component production like Sheet metal, copper piping etc. In alignment with global functions, will be responsible for the management of the operation including setup and maintenance of production lines, staffing of blue collar in accordance with the demand and driving the continuous improvement in productivity and capacity towards achieving World Class Manufacturing value chain
What You’ll Be Doing
- To ensure manufacturing and maintenance processes' set-up that assure zero unsafe conditions. Frequent dialogues with local management teams to acquire a safe culture
- To support Line of Business agenda by ensuring optimal operational footprint and cost base as well as by delivering upon agreed performance and delivery objectives.
- Driving operational footprint as well as Capex projects to meet Line of Business current and future prospects.
- Cooperate with Global Manufacturing Technology on manufacturing processes standardization across sites as well as on innovation leads in manufacturing technology.
- Manage organizational objectives and KPI’s to measure and track operational quality, costs, productivity and delivery performances
- Control over headcount, line staffing requirements and related operational costs reductions. Plan, justify, procure, and measure results of operational investments.
- Support product implementation, maintaining tight control over departmental budgets per plan
- Supporting procurement with on boarding new suppliers to support production needs during NPD projects and cost down activities for the production site and work closely with category managers and key suppliers in negotiations, monitor and track commodities price movements and currency impact on total cost of bill of material.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor degree in engineering or comparable degree/experience required
- Exemplary leader 8-10 years as a senior manufacturing supervisor or manager in an industrial environment with a group of 20+ people
- Experience in Machining, (Torch) Brazing, mechanical assemblies and leak, pressure, and basic electrical testing
- Proven organization change/transformation management and required development of personnel and related processes and tools
- Excellent fluency in English
- Ability to track and Productivity follow up, monthly operational cost reporting.
