Our Editron business unit is leading the electrification revolution, specializing in hybrid and electric powertrain systems for the off-highway, on-highway and marine markets.
We now have an opporutnity to recruit a Head of Sales & Marketing for Editron to lead on all sales on a global level, developing our sales and go-to-market strategy, attracting new accounts, and improving growth rates with existing customers. This role will see you build a sales forecast and develop strategies to achieve the sales goals, whilst driving sales efficiency by extending the sales-related information base, implementing channel strategies, improving customer relations, strengthening the mindset of reports with respect to results-orientation and continuously develop the team. As a member of the divisional leadership team you will also represent the division in all relevant forums and protect its interests with various stakeholder groups, internal and external.
This role is preferably based to one of our key sites in Europe such as in Finland or Denmark and will involve regular travel, both within Europe and internationally.
What You’ll Be Doing
As our new Head of Sales & Marketing for Editron, you will:
- Represent the Voice of the Customer as a key member of divisional leadership team; responsible for sales growth and business development. This includes the development and execution of the strategic vision, cultivating and maintaining senior level relationships, expanding brand awareness in the industry while promoting and selling solutions.
- Lead global team of sales leaders, and the divisional sales support functions (sales operations, marketing, pricing, etc.). Develop the team through goal setting, individual development goals and regular performance reviews.
- Develop a clear and effective go to market strategy and lead marketing communication function to promote our market presence, product and solutions, to make tangible sales development and growth impact.
- Collaborate with the Division, BU leaders and regions to pursue new business opportunities and initiatives.
- Achievement of revenue growth that meets or exceeds the divisional sales targets for each fiscal year, monitoring sales performance versus plan and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Develop sales implementation plans in collaboration with S&M to achieve divisional growth targets.
- Create and align the divisional strategy within the segment and with other divisions and central sales as appropriate.
- Build extensive knowledge of global markets, key customer accounts and competition.
- Closely work with global demand planning, providing input for sales and market development & forecasting.
- Create and implement the right pricing strategy and lead the deployment of the initiatives.
- Implement new systems and platforms to enhance customer experience and reduce customer response lead times.
- Assessing competitive market data and making new product recommendations on a regular basis.
- Coordinate Marketing activities with Segment/ Group Marketing to enhance Division’s image in the market and customer mindset.
- Represent the division in key customer negotiations
- Create and operate within department budget. Proactive participation in meeting the divisional margin targets.
- Develop the vision for the future of enhanced customer experience in conjunction with all relevant stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
We would expect candidates to demonstrate:
- Master’s degree in engineering, business management/development, or comparable qualification is preferred; MBA highly desirable
- Detailed experience in sales roles in electrification or other comparable industrial industries
- Demonstrable leadership experience, including skills to organize and motivate a global team
- Passionate about Customers and Sales; as excellent Team player with strategic mindset
- Successful track record of leading sales initiatives to exceed revenue targets, experience in commercial contract negotiations
- Desire to lead an aggressive business expansion in a dynamic market
- Strong presentation skills including the ability to communicate across stakeholders, including senior management
