The Impact You'll Make
As an IP Searcher & Analytics Specialist based in Pune, (Magarpata), you will play a critical role in protecting and advancing Danfoss innovation. Your work will directly support breakthrough technologies across Hydraulics, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, and Power Electronics & Drives, helping teams make confident, well‑informed invention and investment decisions.
You will turn complex patent and technical information into clear, actionable insights that guide R&D, strengthen IP strategies, and reduce risk. By combining deep IP expertise with AI‑driven research and analytics, you will help shape how Danfoss uses intelligence to innovate faster and smarter.
This is a role where your curiosity, analytical mindset, and digital ambition will have visible impact—both on our technology roadmap and on how we continuously modernize IP practices across a global organization.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduct high‑quality IP searches across patentability, freedom‑to‑operate, validity, and technology landscapes to enable sound business and R&D decisions.
- Analyze patent data and portfolios through claim mapping, whitespace analysis, and competitive intelligence to uncover risks, opportunities, and trends.
- Translate complex technologies into clear insights by reviewing patents and technical literature and presenting findings in concise, business‑relevant reports.
- Embed AI into IP workflows by applying AI‑powered search tools, analytics, and prompt engineering to improve speed, quality, and insight generation.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and IP stakeholders to support invention harvesting, IP strategy development, and technology protection.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering with hands‑on experience in patent search and IP analytics.
- 3–4 years of experience conducting prior‑art searches and patent analysis across multiple technology domains.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, claims, and complex documentation.
- Practical experience using AI‑powered research tools, intelligent search systems, and prompt engineering to enhance analysis quality.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across global, cross‑functional teams.
