About Corporate Internal Audit at Danfoss:

Corporate Internal Audit at Danfoss plays a vital role in safeguarding the company’s integrity, resilience, and long-term value creation. We operate an independent and objective assurance function, reporting directly to the Audit Committee and Executive Management. Our mission is to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes across all business areas.

Our team is composed of professionals with diverse backgrounds in finance, IT, and compliance. We bring a global perspective, working across multiple regions and cultures to ensure that Danfoss remains compliant, secure, and agile in a rapidly evolving risk landscape. We cover abroad audit universe, including operational, financial, and IT audits, with an increasing focus on digitalization, cybersecurity, and sustainability-related risks.

The position is based at our corporate headquarter in Nordborg, Denmark, with flexibility for hybrid work and occasional travel to our sites worldwide.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our new IT Auditor (Technology Risk Specialist), you will play a key role in delivering independent assurance on technology risks across Danfoss. Your primary responsibility will be to plan and execute IT audits that evaluate the effectiveness of controls, compliance, and governance in critical technology areas.

Your mission will be to:

 

  • Perform Independent Audits: Lead and execute IT audits from planning through reporting, ensuring objective and high-quality assurance on technology risks and controls.
  • Assess and Strengthen Internal Controls: Identify and evaluate risks in areas such as cloud services, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital platforms, and provide clear, actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate for Improvement: Work closely with IT, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders during audits to ensure findings are understood and remediation plans are practical and effective.
  • Drive Excellence: Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit methodologies, tools, and processes, helping shape the future of technology assurance within Corporate Internal Audit.
  • Apply Your Expertise: Use your knowledge of ISO27000 and NIS2 to support audit work and challenge compliance practices where relevant, working in close collaboration with IT and security teams.

Your Background & Skills

  • Expert knowledge about the ISO27000 series and the NIS2 directive.
  • Proven experience in IT risk management, information security, or compliance. (Direct audit experience is not a requirement).
  • Familiarity with IT control frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, or similar.
  • Tech-savvy mindset with the ability to understand and leverage data analytics tools; experience with Power BI or similar platforms is a strong advantage.
  • Proficient in Danish and English.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with a natural ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and team-oriented mindset.
