Our Group Strategy and M&A team plays a key role in shaping Danfoss’ strategic direction, acting as trusted partners to business leaders and supporting the development of a high-performing, future-ready portfolio.
Projects range from divisional strategy development — enabling turnarounds, growth, or divestments — to cross-divisional initiatives defining joint strategies for specific applications or industries. Additionally, we contribute to commercial due diligence and strategic support for M&A activities.
The team consists of international colleagues from management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, and internal career paths. We foster a collaborative, supportive culture, regularly arranging social activities and prioritizing professional growth.
The position is based in our Copenhagen office, with occasional travel to Danfoss headquarters in Nordborg, Als, or other company locations. Any travels will be flexible around your studies.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Junior Consultant, you will take part and support in delivering strategic projects across Danfoss’ business units.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support workstreams with stakeholder engagements to tackle complex issues through qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Conduct structured analysis, including market research, data analysis and financial modelling.
- Support the preparation of workshops involving a broad range of stakeholders.
- Conduct surveys or interviews with external market experts.
- Build presentations to convey findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Contribute to building a strong internal strategy function by participating in knowledge development.

What We're Looking For
We imagine you are in the process of completing a relevant bachelor’s degree or have just embarked on your master’s degree in business, economics, or STEM with strong results. While a technical background (e.g., in mechanical or electrical engineering) is appreciated, it is not required.
To succeed in this role, you bring:
- Experience in strategy, from relevant student positions, internships or volunteer work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the curiosity and proactive drive to tackle diverse challenges.
- Excels at working both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, international environment, using strong interpersonal skills to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Motivated to contribute to and shape the strategic direction of a global, industrial company.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written (Danish is not required).
