Within Danfoss Drives, we are looking for a Key Account Manager / Business Developer - Water for the French market, based in Lyon or Paris. The role is responsible for developing the Water segment in France, with the objective of growing sales of Danfoss variable speed drives and related solutions for water treatment and distribution (wastewater, drinking water, and irrigation).

 The ideal profile is a business-oriented Key Account Manager, used to working in structured markets and collaborating with installers, OEMs, and engineering companies, with a solid technical background and a strong drive for business development.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Key role in driving growth across the French Water market, including municipal water utilities and public operators.
  • Active market development and leadership, engaging municipal utilities, installers, OEMs, and engineering companies.
  • Continuous identification and development of new opportunities across customers, applications, and market segments.
  • Selection, qualification, and advisory support on Danfoss Drives products, including variable speed drives, soft starters, and related solutions.
  • Customer needs analysis and development of tailored technical and economic solutions for water and wastewater applications.
  • Presentation and positioning of products and services, in close cooperation with the regional sales team, supporting deal progression in line with commercial policy.
  • Strong technical and commercial ownership, with a proactive, opportunity-driven approach to customer engagement.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and internal networking with colleagues from other Danfoss divisions to support complex or multi-technology projects.

What We're Looking For

  • Educational background in a technical field related to fluid dynamics or electromechanics, with coursework focused on water systems.
  • Previous experience in commercial or technical-commercial roles within international companies, ideally in the water sector.
  • Solid understanding of water and wastewater processes, including hydraulic components, pumps, pressurization systems, and variable speed drives.
  • Technical knowledge of industrial automation, electric motors, speed control, and related aspects (selection, programming, EMC, harmonics, system efficiency, communication protocols) is a strong asset.
  • Ability to evaluate system interactions and ensure reliability and efficiency across hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Fluent in English and French, for regular interaction with Group divisions and manufacturing sites.
  • Business development mindset: commercial drive, customer focus, autonomy, proactivity, and strong organizational skills.
