We have an immediate opening for a 1st Shift Machinist to join our inclusive team in Freeport, IL. The Machinist will operate and set up conventional, numerical control (NC), and specialized machines and machining centers to accurately machine steel and brass components. The wage range for this position is $26.93 - $29.00.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Demonstrates a strong dedication to maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace.
- Complies with all standard operating procedures, control plans, processes, and quality standards. Proficient in operating multiple machines efficiently.
- Evaluates situations objectively and makes timely decisions to improve work performance.
- Effectively organizes and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines with high quality, while proactively anticipating potential challenges.
- Implements innovative strategies and ideas to resolve issues, maximizing the efficient use of available resources.
- Completes all required Total Productive Environment (TPE) activities and ensures possession of necessary personal tools.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED; alternatively, one to three years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
- Capable of reading and interpreting documents like safety regulations, operating and maintenance manuals, and procedural guides.
- Proficient in performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across all units of measure, utilizing whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
