The Impact You'll Make

Danfoss is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to support maintenance operations by coordinating preventative maintenance, managing spare parts inventory, and improving equipment reliability. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and tracking maintenance activities while partnering with cross-functional teams to reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency.

 

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler plays a critical role in driving a proactive maintenance culture by implementing standardized processes, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring effective communication across maintenance, production, and engineering teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule preventative maintenance (PM) activities in collaboration with production, maintenance, and manufacturing engineering teams
  • Order parts, request quotes, and coordinate external contractors to support maintenance repairs and projects
  • Conduct root cause problem solving (RCPS) on equipment and preventative maintenance programs to reduce reactive maintenance and improve reliability
  • Develop and document standardized maintenance procedures and best work sequences in partnership with engineering and maintenance teams
  • Manage and maintain maintenance systems (e.g., Maximo), including asset setup, PM creation, and system updates
  • Analyze maintenance data and KPIs to drive improvements in preventative maintenance, downtime reduction, and parts availability
  • Support troubleshooting during critical equipment breakdowns and assist in identifying preventative measures to avoid recurrence
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts, including ordering, receiving, auditing, and ensuring proper storage and organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new equipment implementation, including spare parts planning, PM development, and compliance with standards
  • Promote a safety-first culture, support 5S initiatives, and drive continuous improvement across maintenance operations

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required (associate degree or technical training preferred)
  • Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or a related manufacturing/industrial role
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and schedules
  • Experience working with maintenance management or ERP systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP, or similar)
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to support decision-making and process improvements

 

Preferred qualifications 

  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and maintenance planning systems
  • Familiarity with root cause problem solving (RCPS) and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Knowledge of spare parts inventory management and procurement processes
  • Experience supporting capital equipment projects or new equipment implementation
