The Maintenance Supervisor leads day-to-day maintenance execution for the Utica, NY liquid‑cooling component manufacturing and distribution site, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime, managing preventive and corrective maintenance, and leading maintenance technicians and contractors.
This position plays a critical role in supporting production by maintaining reliable equipment and building a proactive maintenance system that improves safety, reliability, and operational efficiency. Key success factors include minimizing downtime and ensuring readiness for production and equipment launches.
What You’ll Be Doing
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead maintenance technicians and contractors in safe execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities
- Own daily maintenance priorities across production equipment, test systems, utilities, and facility infrastructure
- Coordinate with Operations and Engineering to resolve downtime, quality issues, and capacity constraints quickly
- Develop and sustain preventive maintenance plans, inspection routines, and spare parts management systems
- Utilize CMMS systems, downtime data, and maintenance history to prioritize work and drive reliability improvements
- Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment, automation, and facility upgrades
- Ensure compliance with safety standards including lockout/tagout, electrical safety, and contractor safety requirements
- Partner with Quality and Engineering to maintain equipment standards, calibration, and process integrity
- Manage technician training, scheduling, and performance expectations to ensure strong team capability
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and compliance documentation
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to reduce downtime, cost, and operational disruptions
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or related technical field
Progressive experience in maintenance leadership and manufacturing equipment support
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
Experience using CMMS/work order systems and maintenance tracking tools
Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and resolve problems effectively
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field
Experience in high-mix manufacturing, precision assembly, machining, or automated environments
Familiarity with fluid power, thermal systems, or warehouse automation
