What You’ll Be Doing
As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you’ll use your skills to drive meaningful change. You will have the opportunity to:
- Enhance our assembly line layouts for smarter material flow and increased efficiency.
- Use your analytical skills to conduct time studies and waste analysis, turning data into actionable improvements.
- Play a key role in installing and testing new equipment, ensuring it meets our high standards for performance.
- Design and implement error-proofing solutions (Poka-Yokes) to boost quality and reliability right from the source.
- Champion a safer work environment by identifying and implementing ergonomic improvements throughout the assembly process.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on student who is eager to learn and contribute. The ideal candidate will have:
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Industrial, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering. Graduate-level students are encouraged to apply.
- The ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer at our Easley, SC location.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members at all levels, from the shop floor to management.
- A practical mindset and comfort using basic hand tools to implement solutions.
- Familiarity with CAD or simulation software is considered a strong asset.
