The Maumee, Ohio Fluid Conveyance Test Lab is looking to fill the role of first or third shift Technician reporting to the Lab Manager, Moises Krutzmann.
The primary responsibility of a Technician is to follow standard processes that are routinely conducted on a day-to-day basis. Technicians are expected to plan proper execution of the assigned job, to follow procedures according to department, division, and Danfoss policy, and provide timely preparation of information and documents. The Technician must semi-autonomously accomplish daily tasks with guidance from a mentor or manager and demonstrate consistent execution of procedures. This position is typically mentored by a Senior Technician or Lead Technician and reports to a Lab Manager.
What You’ll Be Doing
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
• Competent and able to perform hydraulic test methods for fluid conveyance products.
• Produces a consistent flow of high-quality work.
• Understands the fundamentals and reasoning of problem.
• Typically works as an individual contributor within or in support of a team.
• Demonstrates effective communication with peers and management.
• Maintains a consistent, positive attitude (easy to work with, gets along well with co-workers, does not talk negatively about others, etc.).
• Takes required training classes
• Interprets and follows written and verbal instructions from engineers, written engineering specifications and Industry standards for testing.
• Collect performance data during the test process and compile that information in an Engineering Test Report that is submitted to the requesting customer to review and draw conclusions.
• Sets up and adjusts test apparatus to assure conformance to test requirement.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area (6S adherence)
• Compliance with established health, safety and environmental practices to ensure a safe workplace.

What We're Looking For
Qualifications
Required (basic) qualifications
• High School Degree Required
• 2-5 years industry experience
Preferred qualifications
• Associates of Science degree (or equivalent) preferred from an accredited university.
• Experience in related field
• Basic knowledge of fluid power concepts
Job Criteria
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Problem solving skills
• Basic computer skills – Microsoft office suite
• Ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments
• Ability to communicate with peers, customer, management
• Ability to lift 70 lbs
