Danfoss Bock is looking for a Procurement Operational Buyer, who will be responsible for managing the suppliers under Contract Manufacturing operations.
In this role you will become part of a global organization within the Danfoss Climate Solutions, and it will be based out of Bommasandra, Bengaluru Plant, India.
The Operational Buyer focuses on executing sourcing strategies provided by Category Management, ensuring efficient supplier management. They proactively handle forecasts and purchase orders, aligning with the SIOP process to improve cost, quality, and delivery. Additionally, they manage inventory levels to meet targets and optimize storage capacity.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Execute Category Management sourcing strategies and proactively align supplier forecasts with business demand, continuously seeking opportunities to strengthen category partnerships.
- Ensure uninterrupted material supply with full ownership of first-level escalation, building resilient processes that anticipate and prevent disruptions.
- Initiate and execute lead-time reductions and MOQ optimizations that progressively raise the bar on cost, quality, and delivery performance from suppliers.
- Proactively manage PO/NPO processes and drive inventory measures to achieve target value of goods, including storage capacity planning, with a mindset of ongoing efficiency gains.
- Keep suppliers, internal customers, management, and stakeholders informed on project progress, risks, and roadblocks, leveraging open dialogue to enable collaborative problem-solving and shared accountability.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, with 5 to 7 years of experience in Procurement, ideally from a strategic perspective.
- Proven negotiation skills with strong analytical and project management capabilities to turn data into actionable improvements.
- Positive, open-minded attitude with excellent communication skills in English and a willingness to continuously learn and adapt.
- Dedicated and goal-oriented, thriving in cross-functional and cross-cultural team environments.
- Hands-on experience with SAP HANA, SAP BI, and reporting tools.
