The Impact You'll Make
As Operations Team Leader in our Ames Operations Assembly, you will support in safely managing activities and team resources within your area of operation to ensure timely delivery of quality units that will meet and exceed our customer expectations.
The Operations Team Leader will report to the Assembly Operations Manager and operate out of the Ames, IA facility. The working hours for this role is 6 am – 2pm. Relocation support and work authorization support cannot be provided for this position.
What You’ll Be Doing
- You will monitor production, and have a strong shop floor presence.
- You will identify waste and opportunities through MIFAs and Pareto charts.
- You will work to respond to Team Coordinator escalations and quickly resolve issues.
- You will ensure 5S sustainment and improvement and lead and own the RCPS (Root Cause Problem Solving) process, ensure actions are getting complete on time and drive strong results.
- You will manage variable activity rates, including flexible staffing.
- You will work to foster teamwork and engagement and provide regular feedback (recognition and correction).
What We're Looking For
- High School/GED is required; College degree preferred
- Possess strong leadership skills within a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with in all levels of the organization
- Possess problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proven collaborator in building positive working relationships
- Previous experience leading continuous improvement events is preferred
