Editron specializes in hybrid and electric powertrain systems for the off-highway, marine and specialty vehicle markets. As a business division of Danfoss Power Solutions segment, it develops and manufactures high-performance power systems for heavy-duty machines, vehicle and marine vessels.
For our Danfoss locations in China, we are currently looking for a Power Electronics Portfolio Manager, to develop our region-to-region, region-to-global portfolio.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for divisional PE products — from concept through launch to end-of-life.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify opportunities, assess competitive landscape, and position products for success.
- Define PE product line strategy, product roadmaps and pricing strategy based on market trends, customer feedback, competitive analysis, and ensure alignment with divisional strategy
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholder functions such as R&DE, PMO, sales, marketing, supply chain and operations to deliver market-leading products on time and within budget
- Act as the voice of the customer and market, translating technical needs into clear product requirements and specifications
- Be a thought leader to our OEM customers, stay ahead of technological trends, regulatory changes and industry standards to ensure product competitiveness and compliance
- Drive competitive benchmarking and develop compelling value propositions that differentiate our products
- Monitor product performance, define and analyze key metrics, and implement improvements based on data-driven insights
- Partner with product marketing and sales to develop go-to-market strategies, sales tools, and training materials.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of product management and/or engineering experience in the electrification industry, prior work with electrification engineering in power electronics (inverter, converter and/or motor drives) in automotive, mobile machinery industry
- Strong understanding of EV/HEV powertrain systems. Knowledge of inverter topologies, control algorithms, and semiconductor devices/technology.
- Familiar with automotive development processes (ASPICE, V-model).
- Strong understanding of power electronics industry standards and compliances (including Functional Safety and Cyber Security).
- Familiar with power electronics key components and supply chain.
- The successful candidate will understand the competitive landscape of On and Off-road electrification market and be an expert on our technical solutions and how they are positioned
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Good verbal and written English skills a must
