As our Power Electronics Architect, you’ll play a key role in shaping the next generation of variable speed drive solutions within our HVAC and Water Drives business. By defining and driving the power electronics architecture of our frequency converters, you will develop more energy-efficient, reliable, and sustainable motor control solutions.
Your impact? You will define the technical direction of future drive platforms, ensuring optimal performance, cost competitiveness, reliability, and scalability. Your work will directly support our customers' efforts to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact while accelerating the transition toward electrification. You’ll collaborate closely with experts across hardware, software, systems, mechanical engineering, supply chain, and procurement while taking ownership of the power electronics architecture and design principles that help us build innovative products for a more sustainable future.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Define and own the power electronics system architecture for next-generation variable speed drive products
- Drive technical decisions and trade-offs across performance, cost, manufacturability, and reliability
- Lead concept development and evaluation of emerging technologies ex. Silicon Carbide (SiC)
- Collaborate across hardware, software, systems, and mechanical teams to ensure alignment with product and customer requirements
- Mentor engineers, promote best practices, and contribute to platform development and long-term innovation initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Extensive experience designing power electronic systems for frequency converters, drives, inverters, or similar applications
- Strong knowledge of converter topologies, power semiconductor technologies, and system-level architecture development
- Experience with simulation and modeling tools such as PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent tools
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, combined with the ability to influence technical direction across multidisciplinary teams
