We are looking for an Intern in Process Engineering for our plant in Castel San Pietro!
You’ll contribute directly to improving how our production processes perform—making them safer, more efficient, and more sustainable. Your work will support daily operations and long-term improvements at our Castel San Pietro plant.
As part of the Danfoss Power Solutions team, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to real manufacturing challenges while learning how engineering, maintenance, quality, and safety come together on the shop floor.
This internship is designed to give you practical experience, responsibility from day one, and a strong foundation for a future career in operations or process engineering.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Analyze existing production processes through data collection, shop-floor observation, and process mapping to identify improvement opportunities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by applying Lean principles, 5S, and waste reduction practices
- Prepare and update technical reports and KPIs related to production and maintenance performance
- Collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams on non-conformities and root cause analysis
- Contribute to industrialization activities, including new product introduction, process cycles, and work instructions
What We're Looking For
- Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering, Management Engineering, or similar degree, suitable for a curricular internship
- Ability to work on site for 3–6 months starting in summer (June–September)
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for data analysis and reporting
- Good command of Italian and English, both written and spoken
