You’ll play a key role in keeping production running smoothly for some of Danfoss’ most iconic products – the radiator thermostat and its valves – made right here in Silkeborg. Your work will directly influence the quality, efficiency, and reliability of equipment that serves customers worldwide.
Working alongside a team of skilled colleagues, you’ll take ownership of highly automated production processes, with a special focus on hot stamping of brass – a core part of our valve production. You’ll drive improvements that boost performance, reduce costs, and ensure we meet the highest quality standards. What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and improve production processes in hot stamping and the CNC machining areas, ensuring equipment runs reliably and utilise your specialist knowledge problem solving on the floor.
- Lead technical projects – from investing in new machinery to optimizing existing setups, reducing costs, and driving renovation or reconstruction initiatives.
- Introduce and implement new product variants, tooling, and equipment, making sure changes are seamlessly integrated into production.
- Enhance quality processes using proven tools, testing equipment, and IATF16949 standards, including PFMEAs, control plans, and maintenance strategies.
- Collaborate with your team on lean projects, production optimizations, and continuous improvement activities that boost efficiency and capacity.
What We're Looking For
- Technical background with an interest in toolmaking, such as toolmaker, production engineer, production technologist, marine engineer, mechanical technician, or similar.
- Ability to move seamlessly between designing and developing technical solutions (e.g., tooling, process concepts) and hands-on problem-solving directly on the production line.
- Familiarity with automated production technologies – e.g., CNC machining, hot stamping/forging, hydraulic presses, induction heating, robotics, PLC controls, vision systems, and 3D CAD/CAM tools.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with a proactive, solutionfocused mindset and the ability to engage colleagues at all levels.
- Fluency in Danish and English (spoken and written) and the ability to work independently while contributing to both shortterm and longterm projects.
