The Production Manager is responsible for guiding and managing the manufacturing of goods, staffing, performance, and project management. You will be required to ensure the processes are efficient and effective. You will also need to collaborate with the management and employees to ensure a smooth workflow. Your contribution will drive profits and growth for our company. 

What You’ll Be Doing

 

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Manage the daily activities of all employees. Maintain adequate metrics to ensure levels of performance are known and improved upon.

• Ensure that adequate equipment is available and implemented safely to conduct business adequately and efficiently.

• Implement and enforce all policies, practices, and benefits and employ effective leadership techniques and employee relations activities to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all people working at the facility.

• Identify and implement methods and practices to achieve steady improvement in efficiency, quality, service, and continuous improvement in operating profits. Conduct process checks within areas of responsibility and monitor performance of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost.

• Ensure thorough training and daily audits that safe practices are constantly employed throughout the facility.

• Communicate and demonstrate the Danfoss best practices, ethics, values and philosophy such that these cultural attributes are incorporated throughout the organization.

• Counsel and discipline employees as necessary, including performance management. 

• Ensure all functional areas have accurate, timely information.

• Actively participate in cross-functional company-wide teams to assist in driving quality improvements, process improvements, business system enhancements and process standardization

• Review order exception reports to identify root cause and takes appropriate corrective action

• Assist in the creation of training plans and programs and promote cross-training opportunities. 

What We're Looking For

 

Required (basic) qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management or related field

• 2 years supervisory/managerial experience in a related manufacturing or distribution function.

• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Understanding of human resources skills such as interviewing and hiring, performance management, policies & procedures definition, interpretation and implementation, sound health & safety practices and basic labor laws such as FLSA, EEO, FMLA, ADA.

• Fluently speak and write English.

• Be able to work without sponsorship. Preferred qualifications
