The Production Assembler is responsible for the mass production of various models of oil-free compressors by performing and participating in component preparation and line assembly operations. This role involves mechanical assembly, equipment operation, wire harness preparation, and adherence to quality and safety standards to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble compressor components by placing parts in specified relationships and fastening them using bolts, clips, screws, cement, or other methods.
- Operate machines such as hydraulic or pneumatic presses, air wrenches, and other tools to perform force fitting, fastening, and bonding operations.
- Perform a variety of tasks including mechanical assembly, pressure testing, functional testing, preparation, material handling, and other related operations.
- Build and prepare wire harnesses, including crimping, soldering, pinning/de-pinning connectors, adding insulation, wire marking, and harness labeling.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workplace in accordance with 5S principles.
- Understand and comply with quality policies, procedures, and instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, and environmental responsibility.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience preferred).
- Ability to perform mechanical assembly and operate production tools and equipment.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–3 years of related manufacturing or assembly experience.
- Experience with wire harness assembly and preparation.
- Familiarity with hydraulic/pneumatic presses, air wrenches, and pressure test stands.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
