Danfoss Climate Solutions is currently seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join the team in Ljubljana. In this role, you’ll not only manage daily operations but also bring a continuous improvement mindset. You’ll work closely with our factories to ensure the right materials are available at the right time, and that every purchasing decision aligns with actual business needs.

 

You’ll analyze current demands, plan activities to avoid bottlenecks, and help keep the supply chain running smoothly and efficiently. With tools like SAP and other digital systems, you’ll turn tactical planning data and numbers into execution.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Take ownership of material master data, ensuring everything is up-to-date, clean, and ready to support daily operations
  • Drive smooth product phase-in and phase-out transitions, keeping supply aligned with business evolution
  • Keep a close eye on purchasing KPIs, making sure delivery performance and inventory levels stay on point
  • Look ahead: anticipate material needs by past trends, demand signals, and feedback colleagues around
  • Plan smart: act early to avoid bottlenecks and ensure the right materials are where they need to be, when they need to be
  • Work side by side with the supply chain, S&OP team and ensure the execution of tactical plans and secure deliveries toward customers
  • Connect the dots across functions, focus on problem solving and take actions out of with goal in mind to secure product availability

What We're Looking For

 

  • Academic background in economics, international relations, sales, logistics or other relevant areas
  • Any previous experience in similar roles, gained in medium-sized international environments, preferably in sectors related to heading applications and supply chain management is an advantage
  • Understanding demand forecasting, optimizing inventory management, with a focus on efficient procurement
  • Solid experience with SAP, specifically with MM (Material Management), P2Q (procure to pay) or PP (Production Planning) modules are an advantage with the right attitude gap can be fulfilled
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, with a ability to create detailed reports, data visualizations for decision-making and stakeholder communication
  • Excellent communication skills, data-driven decision-making ability, strong problem-solving mindset, and a collaborative approach with cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in English language, both written and spoken
