The Impact You'll Make

 

As our Quality Engineer, you'll play a key role in establishing and continuously improving quality processes at Danfoss' new Sensor Factory in Sofia. You will help ensure that our products, manufacturing processes, and Quality Management System meet the highest standards while supporting the successful launch and growth of our new production site.

Working closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams, you'll help build a strong quality culture from day one.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

 

  • Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and drive continuous improvement initiatives in line with ISO standards, customer requirements, and Danfoss quality expectations.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes, quality data, and key performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities and enhance process capability.
  • Lead structured problem-solving activities, including root cause analysis, 8D investigations, CAPA, and the implementation of sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support customer quality activities by handling quality issues and complaints, participating in APQP/PPAP processes, and ensuring customer requirements are effectively translated into production.
  • Partner with suppliers by supporting supplier qualification, supplier quality improvement activities, and incoming inspection planning and monitoring.
  • Support internal and external audits, maintain audit readiness, and ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and company quality requirements.
  • Take ownership of calibration management while collaborating with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to continuously improve product quality and manufacturing performance.

What We're Looking For

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in Quality Engineering or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and standards, including ISO 9001 (knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is an advantage).
  • Experience with quality tools and methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis, 8D, CAPA, PPAP, PFMEA, or Control Plans.
  • Good English communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
