The Impact You'll Make

 

You’ll help strengthen quality programs and processes at our Danfoss Drives manufacturing facility in Loves Park, Illinois. This summer internship gives you hands-on exposure to how quality drives performance, reliability, and customer trust.
 
 
Working alongside experienced Quality and QEHS professionals, you’ll contribute to real improvement initiatives that support both local operations and Danfoss’ global standards. Your work will directly influence how data, processes, and people come together to deliver high-quality products.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Support quality initiatives such as defect tracking, non-conformance analysis, and data validation
  • Participate in root cause problem solving, including RCPS and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to gather feedback and improve quality tools and processes
  • Assist with updates to PFMEAs and Control Plans for existing products
  • Review and revise SOPs and work instructions to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with the Quality Management System (QMS)

What We're Looking For

 

  • You’re currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • You communicate clearly and work well with others across different functions and environments
  • You’re organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities
  • You’re confident using Microsoft Office and interested in how data supports decision‑making
  • Familiarity with quality concepts, PFMEA, or Control Plans is a plus

  4. The US base hourly range for this internship is $22- $25. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
