Perform performance and durability testing of hydraulic motors. Analyze and report test results to Engineering.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Test hydraulic motors and components utilizing ATS standard test operations.
- Assemble and disassemble products to conduct testing.
- Perform inspection of new parts, components and sub-assemblies.
- Perform test stand calibration.
- Interpret and create hydraulic schematics.
- Troubleshoot existing hydraulic/electrical/electronic/mechanical test equipment & perform necessary adjustments/repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance on test stands and fixtures to ensure accuracy and durability.
- Analyze and report test findings as requested, while working closely with appropriate Business Unit staff.
- Update and maintain test data and reports in Teams/Teamcenter.
- Analyze finished product, troubleshoot, and document non-conformities.
- Assist with other Engineering activities/projects as needed.
- Perform cell housekeeping duties on each shift along with provisional standards meeting 5-S requirements.*
- Perform procedures necessary to ensure the personal safety of the incumbent and others including eye safety, hearing conservation, machine safety guarding, ergonomic movement, lock out/tag out, and SDS procedures.*
- Meet standards as communicated by supervisor.*
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.*
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Verifiable work experience in assembling and testing hydraulic motors and components
- Working knowledge of related hydraulic products and components from a hydraulics system perspective with the ability to recognize discrepancies in products
- Ability to read, understand, interpret, and effectively apply information contained in all applicable documents such as operating instructions, engineering drawings, specifications, design standards, dimensional sheets, and/or blueprints (including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)
- Ability to function effectively with minimal supervision in a high involvement, team-oriented work atmosphere, coordinating work with area supervisor, engineer, quality control, peers, and customers
- Demonstrates an initiative to learn and has excellent analytical/problem solving skills.
- Intermediate computer knowledge with MS Office Applications
- Demonstrated human relations skills required for personal, phone, and written contact with employees, front line leaders, managers, and other stakeholders
- A satisfactory record of recent job performance (for internal candidates, satisfactory performance would be indicated by a rating of 3 or higher in all areas of performance on the most recent evaluation including attendance)
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends and any shift as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface as well as bend, stoop, reach and use ladder up to eight (8) hours a day.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds frequently and occasionally 50 pounds or more.
