Job Description
Danfoss is looking for a Sales Development Manager for South America (Brazil and other countries) region, responsible for driving and developing sales initiatives for customers and Account Managers with a clear Go-to-Market Strategy for growing business.
The preferred candidate will have a proven track record of sales success, full understanding of value selling and the ability to manage all aspects of the Danfoss customer relationship.
Job Responsibilities
Your responsibilities for this exciting position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Development of the sales of Fluid Conveyance business in South America (Brazil and other countries) region for Distribution channel;
- Development of the Sales of customers working together with Danfoss Account Managers, Product Managers, and Application Engineering;
- Creation and Coordination of Sales Initiatives, Growth and Win plans for your focus areas;
- Being the expert and first representative of the division for Account Managers and Customers of Distribution channel;
- Actively join and support Account Teams on customer visits or meetings and promote Fluid Conveyance portfolio;
- Collect application and product requirements for the BU Product Managers (PDP front end, Voice of Customers, etc);
- Responsible for acquiring new business opportunities.
Background & Skills
To be considered for this position, you ideally possess these skills:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree;
- Experience in the Fluid Conveyance business is a plus;
- Experience in Business or Sales Development;
- Working experience from B2B, preferably in the Mobile Off-Highway space;
- Strong knowledge of end-user markets, including but not limited to Oil & Gas, Agriculture, Mining, and Construction;
- Proven customer-oriented mindset;
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with Distributors, End Users, and internal Business Units;
- High level of agility and responsiveness, with the ability to provide fast, effective, and solution-oriented answers in a dynamic environment;
- Solid business experience in Strategy, Finance and Planning;
- Strong Presentation Skills;
- SAP and Salesforce experience will be an asset;
- Strong passion to drive the business, self-motivation and service oriented;
- Fluent Portuguese is mandatory, along with English and Spanish language skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills are required;
- Experience in Concept-to-Market processes.
Travel requirements:
- Travel as needed to meet customers, to run training, to run Sales Development activities, to visit production plants and engineering locations;
- Travel to other locations for global team meetings and trade shows;
- The ideal travel cadence is a week on the road a week in the office so 50% travel;
- However, timing of opportunities, trade shows and internal meetings can result in several weeks on the road in a row.
