Job Description
Job Title:  Senior Application Developer
Req ID:  49990
Job Location (Short):  Sofia, BGR
Employment Type:  Full Time
Segment:  Danfoss Climate Solutions Segment
Job Category:  R&D, Technology and Engineering
Work Location Type:  Hybrid

The Impact You'll Make

We are building digital solutions that power the next generation of sustainable climate technologies. Our work sits at the intersection of software and the physical world: water-based heating and cooling systems that must be reliable, efficient, and intelligent.

This is not traditional software development. You will design and build end-to-end products in an AI-first engineering environment, where AI tools are part of everyday development to accelerate speed and quality—while engineers retain full responsibility for architecture, decisions, and outcomes.

If you enjoy true ownership, complex systems, and seeing the real-world impact of your work, this is a place where you can grow fast and make a difference.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design and develop web and cross-platform applications for climate control and energy systems, ensuring performance, scalability, and usability in real-world environments
  • Own the full lifecycle of features—from architecture and UX considerations to implementation, testing, and production validation
  • Integrate applications with backend systems, APIs, and connected devices operating in complex technical ecosystems
  • Leverage AI-driven development tools to improve development speed, software quality, and problem-solving effectiveness
  • Collaborate in a full-ownership team model where quality, delivery, and continuous improvement are shared responsibilities

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a builder’s mindset: curious, accountable, and comfortable moving between code, architecture, and product. Someone who doesn’t just “close tickets”, but wants to understand and improve the system as a whole.

  • 2+ years of experience in software development with a background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar
  • Experience with modern technologies such as React, C#, TypeScript, or equivalent stacks, with a willingness to work full-stack when needed
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, APIs, and system integration in complex environments
  • Strong ownership of quality, testing (including automation), and end-to-end delivery with a full accountability mindset
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, including AI-assisted workflows
  • Good command of English and Bulgarian to effectively collaborate with international teams and stakeholders
