The Impact You'll Make

 

  • Lead the Procurement function for our Plate Heat Exchangers Business Unit in China, ensuring competitive cost, high quality, reliable delivery, and supply chain resilience for both local operations and export (“local‑for‑global”) requirements.
  • Develop an export‑ready supplier base and ensure full alignment with global sourcing strategies.
  • Strengthen internal collaboration with Operations, Research & Development, Supplier Quality, and Product Management teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic Procurement and Supplier Development

  • Lead sourcing activities in China and Asia and ensure alignment with global PHEX Procurement strategy.
  • Build and maintain a capable supplier base for both domestic supply and global export.
  • Oversee supplier qualification, risk management, and supplier performance improvement.
  • Drive commercial negotiations, contract execution, and long-term supplier management.

People Leadership

  • Lead and develop the China Procurement team, fostering capability growth and strong engagement.
  • Conduct regular performance and development discussions with team members.
  • Promote teamwork, knowledge sharing, and adoption of global procurement processes and tools.

Business Partnership and Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the main Procurement partner for Operations, Research & Development, Supplier Quality, Product Management, and other functions.
  • Represent Procurement in product teams to ensure transparent communication and global alignment.
  • Support planning and prioritization of cross‑functional activities.

Cost Management and Value Creation

  • Define and execute a structured cost‑reduction roadmap, including commercial cost improvement initiatives and technical cost‑down activities (Value Analysis / Value Engineering).
  • Support make‑or‑buy analysis and decision processes.
  • Improve logistics cost performance through optimized agreements and supplier collaboration.

Governance and Compliance

  • Ensure full adherence to Procurement compliance requirements and internal controls.
  • Use global Procurement tools and follow company‑wide processes for supplier management, performance tracking, project management, and sourcing events.
  • Support relevant industrial processes including:
    • APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
    • PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
    • Standardized request‑for‑information and request‑for‑quotation procedures

  • Ability to work across functions in a global matrix environment.
  • Familiarity with quality and supplier development concepts relevant to industrial manufacturing.

Experience and Education

  • 6–10 years of Procurement experience in industrial manufacturing or engineered components.
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience leading teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or a related field.

Languages

  • Fluent English.
  • Mandarin Chinese (Native).
