Take charge of all operations related issues of the plant as the Operational manager role, ensure the efficiency of business operations as well as setting strategic goals for the future.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive Operations Team of Non - DCLC and work with others Functions to ensure smooth day to day operations, attainment of Budget and KPIs being set.
- Plan, coordinate, supervise and control the manufacturing operations ensuring cost effectiveness and adherence to production output plan.
- Maintain close surveillance and control over operations, using performance indicators, reports, staff meetings, observations, and personal contact.
- Ensure coordination of other functions, responsibilities, budgetary performance, manpower utilization, skills, equipment, facilities and production control. If necessary, recommend or take corrective actions to improve.
- Achieve continuous process improvement through the implementation of DBS practices and manufacturing principles such as Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, JIT etc.
- Assure compliance with national legislation and local requirements concerned with safety, health and environmental protection.
- Other tasks as required on the job agreed with a direct Leader.
What We're Looking For
- University degree (Bachelor or Master) in mechanical engineering with additional knowledge in business administration or related field of studies.
- Minimum of 10 years work experience in operations or plant management positions in the manufacturing industry preferably in industrial component business
- Excellent knowledge in finance & controlling of manufacturing plant in China
- Excellent knowledge in managing and performance reviewing of at least 60-80 blue collar workers
- Experienced in building an effective team based on a foundation of trust, communication, accountability, constructive conflict, and results
- Extensive knowledge about manufacturing processes, equipment, operations planning, quality, and engineering
- In-depth knowledge about KANBAN, KAIZEN, 5S, JIT and continuous improvement
- Very good sense of quality management and productivity improvement
- Previous experience in cooperating closely with the European / American headquarters and different subsidiaries worldwide
- Familiar with all IT applications related to work
- Fluent in English
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, highly competent in people and team management, hands-on disposition and leading by example management style with the ability to assert oneself in a positive manner, outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, high attention for details, outgoing, sound appearance and strong cross-cultural understanding
