The Impact You'll Make

Danfoss India is seeking a Senior Production Planner for its Oragadam plant, Chennai. The role is responsible for developing and managing the master production plan to meet customer demand while maintaining optimal inventory levels. The position requires strong collaboration with Business Managers, Sales, and cross-functional teams within the plant to ensure efficient production flow, timely deliveries, and overall operational alignment with business objectives.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Analyze customer demand and translate it into an effective Master Production Schedule (MPS), developing detailed schedules aligned with customer requirements and plant capacity to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Maintain MRP and SAP planning accuracy to ensure reliable planning and consistent material availability across operations.
  • Monitor daily production, open orders, shipments, and deliveries to achieve On-Time Delivery (OTD) targets.
  • Track and optimize raw material and finished goods inventory levels to meet plant inventory objectives.
  • Perform forecast vs. actual demand analysis and monitor customer order fluctuations to enable proactive planning decisions.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent; post-graduate qualification is an advantage.
  • 8 to 12 years of experience in a Planner role covering both Materials and Production planning.
  • End-to-end supply chain understanding with the ability to manage cross-functional planning processes.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to develop planning scenarios and propose actionable solutions in dynamic environments.
