Danfoss Editron is leading the electrification revolution. Our mission is to end pollution with electrification. Editron specializes in hybrid and electric powertrain systems for the off-highway, marine and specialty vehicle markets. As a business division of Danfoss Power Solutions segment, it develops and manufactures high-performance power systems for heavy-duty machines, vehicle and marine vessels.

 

We now have an opportunity to add a Senior Portfolio Manager to oversee and develop our portfolio of Power Electronics products.  This role will be based at one of our main locations in Finland, with some European travel (up to 25%) to meet with customers as required.

What You’ll Be Doing

As the Senior Portfolio Manager, Power Electronics, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Lead the full product lifecycle for divisional PE products, from concept to end‑of‑life.
  • Drive market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to shape product direction.
  • Define product line strategy, roadmaps, and pricing aligned with market trends and divisional goals.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally (R&DE, PMO, sales, marketing, supply chain, operations) to deliver products on time and within budget.
  • Translate customer and market needs into clear product requirements while benchmarking competitors and crafting strong value propositions.
  • Engage OEM customers as a thought leader, monitor product performance, and guide improvements, compliance, and go‑to‑market execution with sales and marketing.

What We're Looking For

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Power Electronics) or similar relevant qualification, alongside demonstrable experience of product management and/or engineering experience in the electrification industry and prior work with electrification engineering in power electronics (inverter, converter and/or motor drives) in the automotive or mobile machinery industry, and the associated industry standards and compliances (including Functional Safety and Cyber Security)
  • Comprehensive understanding the competitive landscape of On and Off-road electrification market and be an expert on our technical solutions and how they are positioned, alongside an understanding of EV/HEV powertrain systems. Knowledge of inverter topologies, control algorithms, and semiconductor devices/technology.
  • Independent, self-starter with validated ability to succeed in dynamic environments and with evolving technology and market requirements.
  • Familiar with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS) and automotive development processes (ASPICE, V-model).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical skill, good project and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a matrix environment without direct managerial control
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills a must, additional language such as Finnish, or German is a plus.
